Dusseldorf International Foundry/Metallurgy/Heat Treatment Exhibition was founded in 2003, every four years. In 2007, more than 1700 enterprises, associations and institutes from 50 countries and regions, including India, Iran, South Africa, the United States, Canada and Brazil, participated in the exhibition and demonstrated the latest products and technologies in the fields of casting, heat treatment and metallurgy. More than 77,000 trade visitors came from more than 80 countries and regions, including Andorra and Cyprus, with visitors from outside Germany accounting for more than 50 percent of the total. In 2011, the exhibition opened 9 out of 17 pavilions, attracting 1,958 exhibitors from 83 countries including India, the United States, Germany, Japan, Brazil, Czech Republic, Italy, Turkey, Slovenia, South Africa, and the number of visitors also reached a record high of 79,000 people. These figures once again prove the exhibition's leading role in the industry.
