This material is widely used in engineering fields that need to withstand large loads, especially in the manufacture of components with high strength and high toughness requirements.
Production process: Silica Sol Investment Casting
1. Superior Surface Quality of Castings
Compared to traditional sand casting, silica sol casting significantly improves the surface quality of castings. Traditional sand casting uses larger sand particles, resulting in uneven surfaces. In contrast, silica sol casting employs fine silica particles, creating a dense and smooth mold that produces castings with a more even and polished surface. This greatly reduces the need for post-processing and enhances product quality.
2. High Dimensional Accuracy
The silica sol casting process achieves high dimensional precision. Silica sol molds exhibit better dimensional stability and lower shrinkage, maintaining their shape effectively under high temperatures. This ensures that the castings meet higher dimensional accuracy standards, typically reaching CT8-9 levels.
Heat Treatment: Quenched and Tempered
Improve the hardness, strength, toughness and wear resistance of materials, improve processability, and reduce internal stress and deformation.

Surface Treatment: Shot Blasting
Dimensional inspection tools: Caliper/micrometer/height gauge/plug gauge/ring gauge/three-coordinate measurement/self-made fixture. Strict size control, castings, processing, before delivery of the product size inspection, the key size inspection rate can reach 100%, for the important size that is not easy to measure, the use of three-coordinate measurement, self-made inspection fixture measurement, without affecting the production efficiency under the premise, strict control of the product size in line with the requirements of the drawings within the tolerance range.
Drawings: 3D drawings: .step / .stp /.igs, 2D drawings: .dxf/ .dwg / .pdf /.jpg / .tif /.bmp, common drawing software: CAD, UG, SolidWorks, etc.
Inspection: Material Inspection/Mechanical Property Inspection/Dimensional Inspection/Appearance Inspection/UT, MT Inspection/Coating Thickness Inspection. A quality inspection plan is specified for each product, and different inspection points are specified, H, W, R, and E, and product inspection is carried out according to the inspection points.
Products Packaging: Inner packing: anti-rust oil + anti-rust bag, keep for more than 12 months, outer packaging: standard fumigation-free wooden box.
