Process Analysis

The products are gears. The gears are made from forged blanks.

The blanks are forged with material 40Cr through free forging.

The Forged blanks have the following advantages.

1.Good mechanical properties:

During the forging process, the metal material undergoes plastic deformation, and the internal grain structure becomes denser and more uniform.

The blanks' strength, toughness and other mechanical properties are improved.

So the blanks can withstand greater loads and stresses.

Blanks with complex shapes can be forged, such as parts with various concave and convex structures. It makes the subsequent precision processing feasible or easier.

Forging is to shape the metal blank by applying pressure. Compared with some cutting processing methods, it can control the shape of the material more accurately, achieve higher material utilization and reduce the loss of material.
