Process analysis: The machine tool tables product is a typical casting of the gantry milling tables.
Sand casting is a versatile and efficient process that involves using a mold made of sand to create the desired shape. The sand is compacted around a pattern, which is then removed to leave an impression of the final product. Once the mold is created, the molten metal is poured into it, filling the cavity and taking on the shape of the pattern.
After forming, machine tool tables undergo an age treatment process to increase their strength and resistance to wear and tear. During this process, the metal is heated to a specific temperature and then cooled slowly, allowing the metal to harden and stabilize.
Finally, the machine tool tables are machined to their final dimensions and tolerances. This process involves removing any excess metal and refining the surface finish to ensure the tables meet the required specifications.
The parallel between guide rail contact surface and the workbench surface is very important. This is because any misalignment or irregularity can result in inaccurate machining or inferior surface quality of the finished product.
