Process analysis: The production process for a huge cast steel gear is an important step to ensure its strength and durability. This type of gear is typically made using 42CrMo material and undergone QT treatment to enhance its properties. Even though this gear is designed for agriculture irrigation equipment which does not require high mechanical properties, it still needs to undergo heat treatment to ensure material uniformity. The gear is heat-treated to ensure material uniformity. This process involves heating the gear to a specific temperature and holding it at that temperature for a specified amount of time. The gear is then slowly cooled in a controlled manner. This process helps to remove any residual stresses in the material and ensure uniformity throughout the entire gear.
After casting, it should be machined. First the blank should be undergone milling, then lathe bed is adopted to machine to make center hole. Because the rotate speed of the product is not high, the requirements of relative accuracy are not very high, and the accuracy requirements are 0.1mm.
After machining, the product is painted, and the tooth surface is treated by dry anti-rust oil , and other places are painted.
