Process analysis: Sand-cast steel heavy equipment housing cover is a typical representative of thin-walled sand casting process. Because the wall thickness of the product is only 5mm at the thinnest point, in order to eliminate the product deformation and cracks and other defects, we adopted the method of quartz sand and chromium sand combined modeling. On the basis of maintaining reasonable sand mold conciliation, the cooling of hot junction and thick wall is accelerated, which makes the whole casting in the mold cavity uniform cooling.
After shot blasting, grind carefully to control the surface roughness between 32a and 40a.
After drilling holes in the machining center, the product is sandblasted and cleaned again.
The inner and outer surfaces are coated with industrial paint such as epoxy powder or polyurethane as required, and the film thickness is between 50 μ-300 μ. This process has obvious protective effects on transportation, storage, assembly and use.
