Selection of die casting machine in die casting process
(1) The choice of die casting machine type first considers the type of casting alloy, and then considers the casting characteristics and quality requirements. Zinc, magnesium alloy, thin wall small and medium-sized castings with general performance requirements, such as notebook computer parts, mobile phone parts, sanitary ware, toys, stationery, car mold parts, etc., should choose hot chamber die casting machine. Aluminum, magnesium, copper, zinc alloy, all kinds of large, medium and small castings with different performance requirements, such as auto parts, electrical appliances, instrument parts, etc., can choose horizontal cold chamber die casting machine. For center radiating or symmetrical castings that are very suitable for center gates, vertical cold chamber die casting machines can be used. For parts with specific shape, less complex structure, less large height and size, and higher performance requirements, full-vertical cold chamber die casting machines can be selected.
(2) The choice of die casting machine grade should consider product requirements and enterprise objectives and financial status. Products mainly consider the complexity or forming difficulty of castings and the quality requirements of castings, choose the right grade of die casting machine, in order to achieve the balance of production quality and production economy. In addition, the grade of the die casting machine should be determined according to the long-term development goals of the enterprise, the durability of production, the positioning of the die casting parts, whether to participate in the international market competition and the investment intensity of the enterprise.
(3) The tonnage selection of the die casting machine is based on the projected area of the die casting and the selected injection pressure and other factors to calculate the required clamping force, the basic principle is to ensure that the clamping force is greater than the expansion force.
