Process Analysis

Die casting of Aluminum alloy engine cylinder is a process to inject the molten liquid of aluminum alloy into a mold under high pressure to manufacture the engine cylinder.

There are several process flows as below:

1. Mold design and manufacturing:

Design and manufacture die-casting molds according to the design requirements of the engine cylinder.

The mold is usually made of high-strength alloy steel and has a complex cavity structure to ensure the shape of the engine cylinder can be accurately replicated.

2. Aluminum alloy smelting:

Heat the aluminum alloy material to a molten state.

3. Die casting:

Inject the molten aluminum alloy into the die casting mold.

The die casting machine usually has a high-pressure injection system that can inject the aluminum alloy into the mold cavity in a short time and apply sufficient pressure to ensure the density of the casting.

4. Demolding:

When the casting is completely solidified, the mold is opened and the casting is taken out of the mold.

5. Subsequent processing:

The casting is subjected to subsequent processing, such as deburring, cleaning, heat treatment, etc., to improve the quality and performance of the casting.

6. Machining:

Special tooling is used for processing to ensure the dimensional consistency and interchangeability of the product.

7. Surface treatment:

Take anodizing as an example. The surface treatment can increase corrosion resistance, surface hardness, etc.

8. Packaging: Special packaging or independent packaging is available for shipment.
