This product is sand casting mold parts for water pump bearing seat, using CNC machining center processing, the size accuracy is controllable within 0.02mm, the casting method of coated sand makes the casting surface better. Water pump seal requirements are relatively high, so the relative flatness of the parts of the processing precision requirements to be higher. The flatness of this product is 0.02mm, which can achieve the effect of hard sealing.
Sand Casting Mold Parts process instruction:
1. Prepare the pattern: Create a pattern of the desired part in the casting material using a lathe, CNC machine, or other methods. Ensure that the pattern dimensions are accurate and include allowances for shrinkage and machining.
2. Create the mold: Place the pattern in the drag portion of the mold and pack sand around it firmly. Then place the cope portion of the mold over the drag and pack sand around the pattern in the cope. Make sure the sand mold is properly vented, and the gating system is placed.
3. Melt and pour the metal: Melt the metal in a furnace or crucible, and pour the molten metal into the mold through the gating system. The metal will fill the cavity created by the pattern and eventually cool and solidify.
4. Remove the casting: Once the metal has cooled and solidified, the casting is removed from the mold. The mold can be broken open, or in some cases, the mold can be reused for multiple castings.
5. Clean the casting: The casting will have some excess material such as sprues, gates and risers attached to it, which must be removed to obtain the final finished part.
6. Heat treatment (Optional): Heating the casting to achieve desired metallurgical properties.
7. Machining (Optional): In this process, unwanted areas are removed from the casting according to the required specifications.
8. Finishing: Final finishing is performed, where the surface of the casting is polished or painted for the final desired look.
